Welcome to your Stuhlsatz Family assignment page! Here you’ll find all the details that will help you feel right at home for the weekend, including your Family Pal (your dedicated chaperone), your cabin assignment, the family you’ll be sharing your space with, and your color group.

Each of these selections was thoughtfully arranged in hopes of creating a fun, supportive, and connected experience for your family!

Your Family Pal for Sun Escape 2026 is CANDACE COLBERT

You’ll be hard to find anyone with a better vibe and sun safe style than EPP’er Candace, who will be joining us for the first time this year as a volunteer. A community leader and advocate for many years in the Porphyria world, she’s the kind of volunteer that will be cheering you on for every bullseye arrow sling, bowling strike, zipline ride and more. “An opportunity like this when I was young, would have been life changing,” she said. “Helping young folks with EPP and other sun sensitive conditions provides a true sense of giving back for me. Excited for one heck of a weekend.”

We encourage our families to reach out to their assigned volunteer via email prior to the start of camp to introduce themselves and get familiar prior to the start of Sun Escape. We have also shared with Candace your family’s primary email address on file should she wish to also introduce herself or get in contact with you for anything Sun Escape related (ex: checking in with you about your expected arrival time)

Your Cabin & Color Grouping Information

At Sun Escape, each family is assigned a color group to help guide the flow of the weekend. While many activities are enjoyed together, your color determines the schedule your family will follow for certain program areas. Your cabin will match your assigned color, making it easy to stay connected with your group throughout the weekend.

You will be staying in our Texas Cabin with the MacGregor Family

We hope you like magic, cause EPP’er Theo is bring the slight of hand along with his EPP dad and the whole army of this Canadian family, 7 in total! “Last year was our first year attending camp and it was one of the most impactful weekends of our family’s life,” Theo’s mom said. “For the first time in Andrew and Theo‘s life, they met other people that have lived their life experience. It was an incredible opportunity for us to connect with families from around the country And build lasting relationships that will provide a support network as Theo grows up.”

As a reminder, each family will have their own private side of the cabin which includes a bedroom and bathroom. Both families will share a common area.
