Sun Escape has traditional and unique venues and facilities. Learn more about our Program areas below.

For information pertaining to each program area’s specific sun precautions and modifications, please visit our Sun Precautions page or click HERE.

Super Dome

Spanning over 15,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art indoor facility offers children the chance to step up to the plate, regardless of their skill level. The all-weather Superdome features rubberized Mondo flooring, ensuring a safe environment for baseball, kickball, and a variety of other activities.

Campers can look forward to gathering together here during their CAMP CONNECTION periods and the dome will be accessible during the weekends for ‘re-charge’ sessions, open periods and additional activity blocks

Horse Barn

A ride on one of Victory Junction’s horses is truly one-of-a-kind experience, especially for children who prefer not to worry about sun exposure.

While enjoying their horseback ride, campers have the option of having a side walker accompany them. For those who require additional support due to lack of trunk control, a back rider is available to assist.

Petting Zoo

Victory Junction’s barn is full of a delightful group of animals, nicknamed “Vic’s Crew,” each with unique personalities that create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The horses provide security and excitement, the rabbits offer a soothing presence, the goats add playful energy, and the donkeys and miniature cow love to get hugs from campers.

These interactions are not only entertaining but also therapeutic, helping kids experience joy, build confidence, and form lasting bonds with the animals. Some experience without the need for protective gear for the first time,

ARCHERY

Guided by camp legend Mr. Larry Wagner, campers will discover the fundamentals of archery – with adaptive equipment available to ensure that everyone can participate at our range. The atmosphere is always filled with singing, dancing, and the thrill of balloon-popping bullseyes.

That is, until the notorious seven archery elves make their grand entrance. Dive into their legendary tale, which promises to be a weekend highlight.

Rec Center

This spacious gymnasium provides a wide range of options for every camper! With a focus on play, campers can engage in various games and sports.

An upper level is available for kids to pool, or enjoy ping-pong while a space on the main floor gives campers the chance to unwind and hang out.

This area will be available for families before dinner during our check in period and routinely available throughout the weekend. We especially recommended the gym during evening hours and after hour activities.

Zip Line (ages 10+)

Who’s ready for an exhilarating adventure? All campers aged 10 and up are invited to join us on for an unforgettable zip line experience.

Beginning approximately at sunset, every child eager to participate will have a turn, regardless of how late it gets after dark. Safety is our top priority – each participant must wear the appropriate harness, safety line, and helmet. Activity is weather dependent.

Fishing Dock

No bass, striper, or trout stands a chance during the weekend when you cast your line from our sheltered dock.

Families can enjoy fishing during the day protected by the dock’s roof or wait until nightfall for the dock lights to illuminate the area.

A Victory Junction tradition, every catch must be kissed before release. Of course, if a child prefers not to kiss a fish – not to worry – their volunteer can do it for them.

Theater / Stage Night

The theater has the capacity to host up to 179 guests and features surround sound audio, a projector, and dressing room facilities. This venue allows campers to wear costumes and express their creativity freely.

A standout event at Sun Escape is Stage Night, an exhilarating talent showcase that involves the entire camp. Here, campers and counselors can take the spotlight, perform skits, sing their favorite songs, or display their musical abilities.

Pool / Water Park

After being under construction in ‘24 & ‘25, we are excited for the water park area to finally make its debut. Set in the late evening, this heated waterpark truly embodies the idea of providing campers with the opportunity to participate in something they may not be able to do because of the sun.

There is a water slide shaped like a motorcycle, lazy river, basketball goal, splash pad, hot tub, and a deep end for campers who want more of a challenge. Water guns, balloons and other activities will be set up around the pool.

The Fuel Stop

The Fuel Stop is food central at camp and our cafeteria. The Fuel Stop team leads the efforts to provide delicious meals and appropriate menus that meet the dietary restrictions of our campers. Families sit in assigned seating for breakfast, lunch and dinner with their cabin mates and we end every meal period with a dance party.

The Pit Stop

Walk off Victory circle and back in time with this 1950's inspired diner. From cotton candy to ice cream, pop corn, icees and more, the Pit Stop is ready to satisfy your sweet cravings as the sun sets.

Managed by the dedicated team at Victory Junction, Pit Stop will remain open late into the night. You’re welcome to relax and enjoy your treats or take them with you as you head to cabin row and the lake.

Creative Arts

Welcome to our arts and crafts wonderland, where imagination runs wild!

Campers can let their creative juices flow as they whip up masterpieces in woodworking, painting, drawing, and even tie dye their own official Sun Escape T-shirt to bring home with them.

Our photosensitive campers will take part in our tradition of pressing their hands in paint and then onto the same protective covering that’ll hang in our rec center for years to come.

Adam’s Race Shop

What could be more thrilling than playing a racing video game? How about experiencing the excitement from inside a real NASCAR! Kids can immerse themselves in the NASCAR spirit by trying on race suits or competing in our car simulator.

Along with a variety of video game systems, campers and visitors can discover more about Victory Junction and the Petty family's legacy through captivating displays in the activity areas and along the walls.

Medical Center

Nicknamed “the Body Shop” our medical facility and staff are equipped to meet campers' everyday needs, such as providing band-aids for minor scrapes and ice for bumps and bruises.

A photosensitive medical professional is on site for the entire camp weekend.
