WHERE You’ll BE Staying , whose your family pal and more!

Welcome to your MacGregor Family assignment page! Here you’ll find all the details that will help you feel right at home for the weekend, including your Family Pal (your dedicated chaperone), your cabin assignment, the family you’ll be sharing your space with, and your color group.

Each of these selections was thoughtfully arranged in hopes of creating a fun, supportive, and connected experience for your family!

Your Family Pal for Sun Escape 2026 is SHAWN WILLIS

Shawn, as the kids would say, is one of the OG’s. Having grown up having EPP when there was no help of any kind, you’d be hard to find another volunteer truly living it up more at camp the past two years than Shawn. From performing at Stage Day and dominating our volunteers after hours bowling league to even playing locked down defense in the rec center, he’s all dawg. “The past two years have been was so cool and I loved the sense of community we are building in a short period of time,” he said “,I am so excited to get back and make it memorable.”

Contacting Shawn

We encourage our families to reach out to their assigned volunteer via email prior to the start of camp to introduce themselves and get familiar prior to the start of Sun Escape. Shawn’s email is below. We have also shared with Shawn your family’s primary email address on file should she wish to also introduce herself or get in contact with you for anything Sun Escape related (ex: checking in with you about your expected arrival time)

Your Cabin & Color Grouping Information

At Sun Escape, each family is assigned a color group to help guide the flow of the weekend. While many activities are enjoyed together, your color determines the schedule your family will follow for certain program areas. Your cabin will match your assigned color, making it easy to stay connected with your group throughout the weekend.

Your assigned color group is RED

The Families in Your RED Group Will Be

  • The Campbell Family - EPP (South Carolina)

  • The Declan Murphy Family - EPP (New Jersey)

  • The MacGregor Family - EPP (Canada)

  • The Stuhlsatz Family - EPP (Kansas)

  • The Sullivan Family - EPP (Pennsylvania)

  • The Liston Family - UNDIAGNOSED (Pennsylvania)

  • The Waldrop Family - EPP (North Carolina)

  • The Vierin Family - EPP (Canada)

You will be staying in our Texas Cabin with the Stuhlsatz Family

We go where Clint and Hattie take us! The EPP siblings and the rest of this Kansas family return for year 3 of camp. “Each time we leave after this weekend, the kids come away with new friends who share the same struggles as them,” mother Allison explained. “They continue those connections after camp. I love seeing them text friends all across the country (and outside of!) and know they have people who are experiencing what they do each day. Ben and I meet new parents who we are able to share ideas and learn from.” Clint and Hattie’s dad Ben said “The kids aren't able to go to the ‘regular’ camps that their friends attend because of the outside time that they have at these camps. This is their opportunity to have fun and not worry about the sun. I also love that their sister Blair is included in the fun.”

As a reminder, each family will have their own private side of the cabin which includes a bedroom and bathroom. Both families will share a common area. Should your family wish to connect with the Stuhlsatz Family prior to Sun Escape, you can reach out to the family via their email address below. They have your email as well. While encouraged, connecting is not required.
